STI Forum calls for innovators, scientists, entrepreneurs and sustainability change agents worldwide to submit their workable solutions that have gone through a proof-of-concept phase for SDG implementation and is looking to scale up. Your innovation must be working to achieve the SDGs that are the focus of the STI Forum. Only one innovation should be submitted per person. Your innovation must have not been showcased at past STI Forum events. If your innovation has already been featured at past events, it will not be selected again this year. OSIWA CALLS FOR PROPOSALS
The Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA) is a grant-making and advocacy foundation that supports innovative interventions with effective strategies that respond to the broader deep-seated political, justice and socio-economic roadblocks to open society in West Africa. Grants are given to local organizations based in West Africa. In rare cases and limited circumstances, the foundation provides support to West Africa–based international organizations with a strong commitment to transferring knowledge to local groups they partner with. The grants also go to government institutions as well as regional and sub-regional organizations working in our core priority areas. Interested organizations must submit a completed application proposal, budget, and other relevant documents—including governance and leadership information (list of board members, trustees and management staff who will be involved in the project, and proof of registration). NGO LEADERSHIP TRANSITION FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM (LTFP) IN AFRICA
Leadership Transition Fellowship Program (LTFP) is intended for senior civil society/NGO leaders who are contemplating or have decided to move on from their existing NGO. This program seeks to help that leader develop a succession plan within the organisation, contemplate a personal transition plan and also preserve their knowledge and experience. The program is for 3 months from 1 September 2019 to 30 November 2019. FULLY FUNDED UNESCO / APCEIU YOUTH LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP 2019
The one-week Workshop aims to build the capacity of dynamic youth leaders around the world to identify strategies to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Target 4.7, and to carry out innovative initiatives on fostering global citizenship and human rights. While enabling participants to deepen their understanding of GCED, the Workshop allows the young leaders to play a major role and become part of a wider network of youth leaders for GCED. Application for the 5th Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED must be submitted before 31 March 2019 (KST 23:59). Successful applicants will be notified by 8 April 2019. Travel expenses and Workshop fees will be covered by APCEIU for the selected participants (participants will be responsible for the domestic travel expenses and visa fees in their own countries). PRESIDENTIAL YOUTH EMPOWERMENT SCHEME ( P-YES) CALLS FOR APPLICATION
P-YES is a Nigerian Empowerment Scheme designed by the government as an incubation Programme whereby youths will be directly empowered on certain areas of vocational skills and entrepreneurship with the aim of creating multiple layers of empowerment.
