UNAOC/IOM PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival 2019
PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival 2019 edition is inviting young people around the world to submit original and creative videos focusing on the pressing social issues of migration, diversity, social inclusion, and the prevention of xenophobia.
PLURAL+ video entries must be between one and five minutes and can be of any genre (animation, documentary, music video, comedy, etc.) as long as they convey constructive messages related to the themes of migration, diversity, social inclusion, and the prevention of xenophobia. The deadline to apply is Sunday 16 June 2019 at midnight.
Applications open to people around the world between the ages 12-25. An International Jury will select one PLURAL+ Award winners in each of three age categories (up to 12 years old; 13 to 17 years old; and 18 to 25 years old), and UNAOC and IOM will jointly select one video to receive the Special Award for the Prevention of Xenophobia. PLURAL+ partner organizations will also award a multitude of prizes and professional opportunities to several young filmmakers.
PLURAL+ winners will be invited to New York all expenses paid to participate in the PLURAL+ Awards Ceremony in November 2019 and a series of side events providing opportunities for professional development, co-productions, and networking.

FOREIGN AFFAIRS INTERNSHIP AT THE ECONOMIST 2019
They are seeking an intern to write about foreign affairs for The Economist. The internship will be London-based and will pay £2,000 per month. SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA SUMMER SCHOOL
SUMMER SCHOOL PLANNING and DESIGN WITH WATER is intended for passport holders of countries in Sub-Saharan Africa between 22 and 28 years of age, studying in the following areas:
Architecture
Urban design
Spatial planning (town, urban and regional planning)
Environmental engineering
Water engineering
Urban law and management
Political sciences
Public administration
Areas that have a close relationship with planning and design of sustainable cities and communities.
The scholarship includes:
A round-trip ticket between your country of origin and Amsterdam. The ticket will be organized and bought by TU Delft upon selection of the candidate and the granting of a Dutch visa.
The fees for the Summer School (400 euros) will be waived.
A small amount of pocket money, enough for meals and transport during the 20 days in the Netherlands.
Accommodation during your stay (you might be housed with a TU Delft student during the period of the Summer School).

ADMISSION INTO NIGERIAN MILITARY SCHOOL
Once every year, Nigerian Military School Zaria (NMS) opens admission for suitably qualified candidates to apply. The application period usually opens between middle of February to end of May. NMS trains male Nigerian Boys only. Admission of Boys into the School is strictly for JSS1 ONLY. Find below, the key entry requirements for admission into NMS:
*The Candidate must be a male Nigerian.
*The Candidate must be at least 12 years old and not more than 14 years old by September of the year of entry.
*The Candidate must have completed Primary School education.
*The Candidate must be medically and physically fit.
*The Candidate must be of good moral character.
*The Candidate must fill and submit his application form online through this portal.
*The Candidate must sit for the Entrance Examination on the scheduled date and at the venue chosen by him while filling the online application form.
*Candidates are to report to the Examination Centre with the ORIGINAL COPY of their Exam Photocard as generated from the portal. Candidates without Exam Photocard shall NOT be allowed to sit for the exam.
*Candidates invited for selection interview will be made to undergo compressive physical and medical examinations.
*Candidates invited for selection interview will be required to come with original copies of Birth Certificate, completed Local Government Certificate of Origin and Exam Photocard.
Admission into NMS is open to all male Nigerians who fulfil the given entry requirements. It is NOT restricted to only children of Military Personnel.
NMS does NOT accept students on transfer from other schools. All candidates must enroll at JSS 1 and then work hard and diligently to complete their education and training up to SS3.
